A motorcade departed his Mar-a-Lago estate and arrived at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, less than 48 hours after a Manhattan grand jury indicted former President Donald Trump.

Trump’s Supporters Gathered  Outside Gold Course

“This is a typical Trump flag-waving crowd,” Trump supporter Greg Aselbekian said.

Trump supporters gathered outside the golf course to express their support for the former president.

“We still support President Trump, and today is just another day to celebrate him and let him know he has our support,” Aselbekian said.

“I also want him to see us, to know that we stand with him, and he has millions of people standing with him all over the world because we know the truth,” Trump supporter Mona Osborne said.

Supporters applauded as Trump exited the golf course, and he even gave the crowd a thumbs-up.

According to Trump’s lawyer, the Manhattan District Attorney initially requested that the former president turn himself in on Friday, but the Secret Service needed more time to prepare.

Trump is facing a slew of business-fraud charges. According to sources familiar with the case, at least one charge is a felony offense, but Scripps News has not independently verified this information.

“We must remember that the presumption of innocence remains in this case; we must await the facts,” former Gov. Asa Hutchinson said.

The investigation was launched by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg in late 2016, just days before the 2016 presidential election, into an alleged hush money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels. The money was intended to keep Daniels from speaking out about an alleged affair with Trump a decade before.

Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said, in part, that “Representatives will hold Alvin Bragg and his unprecedented abuse of power accountable.”

Trump denies any wrongdoing and called the case a “witch hunt” on Truth Social on Friday, but Daniels is fighting back, saying she’s committed to getting the truth out.

“I have these emotional moments where I’m like, I wish I’d never done this. This is so stupid,” Daniels explained. “But I’d still do the same things because it was the right thing to do.”

Democrats also spoke out.

“This is not something to celebrate, nor is it something to vilify. This is our system, and we must allow it to play out. It is another example that no man or woman is above or below the law,” Rep. Jason Crow said (D-Aurora, CO).

This indictment is a watershed moment in American history, and Trump is expected to surrender early next week. He will be arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court on Tuesday, and his fingerprints and mugshot will be taken.
