Donald Trump’s Indictment Schedule

The charges against him are still unknown, but Trump’s indictment will be on Tuesday morning before the arraignment and the former President is expected to appear in court, which is set for 2:15 p.m. eastern time.

The media attention and possible protests that may occur during Trump’s indictment have led authorities to prepare for a heated atmosphere, according to a published article in The Hill.

The Washington Post reported on Friday that Secret Service agents were at the Manhattan courthouse where Trump will turn himself in, to tour the site and ensure the former President’s safety during his visit.

The grand jury’s vote earlier last Thursday for Trump’s indictment on criminal charges for his role in organizing hush money payments made to an adult film star during his 2016 campaign is the reason for the arraignment.

What to Expect During Trump’s Indictment?

Trump’s indictment, which remains under seal, follows an investigation by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) that centered on a $130,000 payment that fixer Michael Cohen made to adult film star Stormy Daniels shortly before the election.

While Joe Tacopina, an attorney representing Trump in the case, has said he does not expect Trump to be handcuffed, other details surrounding the former President’s visit remain unknown.

In a published article in The New York Times, it is unclear whether during the Trump’s indictment his mugshot and fingerprints will be taken, although New York state law does not allow for the public distribution of mugshots.

Despite the charges against him, Donald Trump is expected to be released after his arraignment on Tuesday, as the charges do not include any violent felonies. Currently, he does not have any rallies or campaign events scheduled for next week, but his indictment is sure to keep him in the public eye.
