Which group is the next in line for SSDI?
Group 3 pensioners are the next group to receive the new SSDI payment. The Social Security Administration will send these retirees a new check in days. Group three retirees have a benefit and a birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month. The following payment date is March 22nd. In March, there are no other payments related to the disability pension or the retirement pension.
What is the smallest SSDI check you can get?
In 2023, the SSA’s minimum check through SSDI will be $794 per month for a single person. However, if SSDI is for a couple, the dollar amount can be as low as $1,191. The idea behind this benefit is that the user with a disability can pay their bills without issue, even if it may appear insufficient at times.
Can I receive both Social Security and disability benefits?
Contrary to popular belief, it is not possible to receive both Social Security and disability benefits simultaneously.
There will be an additional payment in March 2023
Millions of retirees and disability recipients will receive an additional payment in March 2023. This check is not for the month of March but rather for the month of April 2023. It’s the Supplemental Security Income check this time. Social Security sends these payments to low-income SSDI recipients on the first of each month, but some exceptions exist.
