Illinois Police Arrest 5 High School Student In Chicago

On Tuesday, five high school students were arrested at Highland Park Highschool by Illinois Police after a student reported seeing one student with a gun and putting the whole school in lockdown.

Highland Park Highschool was located at 433 Vine Avenue. Illinois Police received an anonymous call from one of the student and report that there is one student potentially in possession of a gun. Supt. Bruce Law said in his statement that there were no reports of shots fired, but students and school staff were ordered to remain in place while the police are still searching the building. The student who has the gun was identified in CCTV footage and it was shown that he left the school building with other students.

Illinois Police enforcement searched the building and found 2 students who were involved and were already arrested. The school was on lockdown for a few hours because of the incident and the Illinois police lifted it because there is no credible reason to continue the lockdown.
