Colorado residents are set to receive a one-time direct payment worth between $750 and $1,500 this month.
One-Time Direct Payment In Colorado
Since last summer state officials have been issuing checks and the final rebates will head to residents by January 31. Most Coloradans received the payment by September 30 as they submitted tax returns by the end of June.
Those who requested an extension beyond the deadline for tax filing payments will continue to be sent out. Americans that filed their taxes by October 17 are set to receive their refund by January 31, according to the state’s Department of Revenue. Rebates of $750 are being issued to individual tax filers, while joint couples will receive $1,500.
Around three million Americans in Colorado will receive the cash from Colorado Cash Back which was signed into law by Governor Jared Polis in May 2022.
Here’s How To Qualify
Qualifying residents must be 18 years old and above and they were required to live in Colorado for the entire 2021 income tax year. Moreover, as part of the state qualification, the resident must file a state income tax return or apply for a Property Tax, Rent, and Heat Credit refund. Those people who transferred to different states last year are not eligible for the cash.
Additionally, All checks are being mailed to residents amid the risk of fraud.
