Botched Police Raid’s Victim Filed a Complaint
Five days before the former Planned Parenthood director’s death, authorities raided an apartment unit they thought was his, but it turned out to be Stacey Wezenter‘s, Yergeau’s upstairs neighbor.
During the botched raid, authorities immediately handcuffed Wezenter and asked her about Yergeau’s whereabouts without first confirming that they were in the right place and asking the right person.
Wezenter didn’t let the terrible incident go unnoticed and filed a complaint with the New Haven Police Department, claiming that the raid on her home traumatized her.
