$800 Worth One-Time Direct Tax Rebate Will Be Going Out In 13 days

Residents in South Carolina who have filed their 2021 tax returns will start off the New Year with a great financial start, thanks to a tax rebate they will receive which is worth up to $800. The specific number that recipients will be claiming from this payment will depend on their 2021 tax liability, which is defined as the amount that was left over after subtracting credits from the income tax they owe.

According to a published post by The US Sun, for those whose tax liabilities are less than $800, their rebates will be equal to their tax liability, while filers with a tax liability equal to or over $800 will get exactly $800, as stated by the South Carolina Department of Revenue.

The cash from this payment will be delivered to the same bank account the people claimed for their 2021 refund. South Carolina residents who have filed their 2021 SC1040 tax forms by Oct. 17 can expect to claim this rebate before Dec. 31.

For recipients who want to know when they will be getting their payment, they can do so by tracking their payments online. To do this, people will need either their Social Security number or the Individual Taxpayer Identification Number from their SC1040 form to be able to use the site for tracking.

The Department of Revenue has capped the highest amount that people can claim from this rebate to $800, as mentioned by the state legislation.
