The mother name Ashley Roland, 28, and boyfriend Nathan Bridges, 33, have been arrested and are being held in the Lee County Jail on charges of capital murder, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, and endangering the welfare of a minor according to the Arkansas State Police reported by MailOnline.
From their preliminary investigation, it is believed that the boy died from injuries sustained in the home possibly as long as three months ago although the state medical examiner has not yet made official findings about the cause of death. Moreover, authorities are also investigating burns on the scalp of a 6-year-old girl who has suffered terrible physical abuse as well and was found in the house currently in a stable condition at the Memphis hospital.

According to the reports, police may have been tipped off about a possibly dangerous situation in the home by the children’s grandmother, identified as Karen the grandmother. Additionally, after paying a ‘ridiculous amount of money, Karen received a court order allowing her to finally got weekly visitation rights to the Children. When she arrived at the kids’ house on Friday, she was reportedly told by the mother that the boy was staying at a friend’s house and the girl was unable to walk. The Grandmother immediately took the girl for medical treatment and right then Karen learned that evening that her grandson had been discovered under the hallway floorboards of the house.
