Former President Trump Will Not Be Handcuffed

On Friday defense lawyer Joe Tacopina said that the indictment was shocking to Trump and his team. Tacopina also said that  Former President Trump will not be handcuffed after he agreed to surrender next week in New York court to face his criminal charges, by the terms of the agreement between his defense attorneys and Manhattan District prosecutors. This was after an unprecedented grand jury indictment, defusing a potential controversy over any request by prosecutors to extradite Trump from his Florida home.

Tacopina stated, “I feel like the rule of law disappeared yesterday in this nation, and it’s not something I’m pleased about it.” “This is unusual in this country’s history. I don’t know what to hope other than an arraignment.”

Furthermore, a memo was seen by NBC, that New York police have been ordered to report for duty on Friday and be prepared for “unusual disorder”.

The indictment against Former President Trump, according to a Guardian article posted that it was still under seal on Friday morning. Hence, it was still unclear how many charges Former President Trump might face for the payment made to Daniels, for which he reimbursed his then-lawyer Michael Cohen, who ended up behind bars for crimes partly related to the case, and has turned on his former boss and testified for the prosecution to the grand jury.

Former President Trump was the first former president in history to be indicted after a years-long investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. Former President Trump is expected this Tuesday afternoon, to be arraigned before the judge presiding over the case in a New York City courtroom.

Us Agencies Will Have A Meeting To Finalize Trump’s Arrest

Law enforcement agencies, including the U.S. Secret Service, New York Police Department, FBI, New York State court officers, and the DA’s office will have a meeting Friday afternoon to settle the logistics and security of Trump’s arrest.  The movements defuse a possible situation in which prosecutors require Trump’s extradition from his home at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

Normally, a defendant who surrenders nonviolently in a case would surrender to a central booking location, as legal professionals have exemplified. However, since this case involves a former U.S. president special accommodations were anticipated.
