Colorado’s New E-Bike Rebate Program
Thanks to the passage of SB22-193, the reason why Colorado will be establishing a Statewide eBike rebate available to low- and moderate-income residents.
The basic rebate will range from $300 to $500 for the e-cargo bike purchasers. Moreover, the new e-bike rebate program is for Income-qualified recipients who can receive $1200 for an e-bike and $1,400 for an e-cargo bike. Denver residents with disabilities are also eligible for rebates worth up to $1,400 for adaptive e-bikes and e-cargo bikes. These adaptive e-bikes are specially designed to meet the needs of the rider.

Here’s Who Will Qualify
The standard e-bike program is open to all current Denver residents with proof of address. Income-eligible recipients must provide their household income with lesser than 60 percent of Colorado’s median earnings, 200 percent below the federal poverty level, or lower than 80 percent of the area’s median earnings. Those recipients of the e-bike program must contain a confirmed impairment that prevents them from riding a standard e-bike or e-cargo bike.
In claiming the e-bike rebate program first, you must fill out and pass your application on the city’s online portal, once you have your voucher released. Furthermore, Denver’s e-bike rebate program started accepting applications again on May 30, 2023, but, you’ll have to act fast.
All available vouchers were quickly cleaned up during the last opening on March 28. once you have secured your voucher, you can start to find local Denver e-bike retailers who are participating in the e-bike program. Lastly, you’ll have to bring physically the rebate to the store where it will be applied during your purchase. once your application is approved, you can take your rebate to a qualified e-bike dealer in Denver who will apply it to your purchase.
