The Wisconsin 12-year-old Boy Died At A Mass Shooting At Tavern
A West Allis, Wisconsin, a 12-year-old boy lost his life, and another boy was injured after gunshots were fired into a party on Saturday night, according to police reports. The West Allis Police Department responded to reports of a shooting near 57th Street and Lincoln Avenue.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered gunshots were fired during a party at a nearby tavern, resulting in two young boys getting shot. One of the minors a 12-year-old boy, died at the scene while the other was rushed to a nearby hospital and treated for his injuries. Police said nobody was in custody for the shooting and the investigation is still ongoing.
The West Allis Police Department Ask The Public To Report Any Information About The Shooting Incident
Shortly after the shooting, police posted to Facebook and expressed to the public that if they have a family who was attending a social gathering in the area of the shooting to go to Longfellow Elementary School to be reunited with their loved one.
Fox station WITI in Milwaukee communicated to a neighbor at the scene, who said they heard three-to-six gunshots and witnessed teens escape from a lounge. The department urges anyone with information about the incident or any information about Wisconsin, a 12-year-old boy who died to contact the West Allis Police Department at 414-302-8000.
Police added that further information would be released as the investigation progresses.
