The tax rebate that renters and homeowners can acquire is worth between $450 and $1,500, but around 500,000 eligible residents of the state haven’t applied yet and they only have until February 28, so authorities are encouraging everyone with eligibility to join the more than 1.5 million applications that have already been submitted.

Those that successfully present their applications will have their payments sent via direct deposit sometime in the spring, Melinda Caliendo, spokeswoman for the New Jersey Monitor, from the state’s Treasury guaranteed, but wouldn’t give a precise date for the tax rebates to go out.

Homeowners that have an income lesser than $150,000 will obtain $1,500 while those with an income between $150,000 and $250,000 will receive $1,000. Moreover, renters with an income of less than $150,000 will get a payment worth $450.
