This requires recruits to have a full-time job for five years and would need to complete their associate’s within four years. A John Jay College professor Mike Alcazar commented that the police department is desperate and wants to hire more police officers. He followed that police departments have to take the screening process seriously and fully scrutinize hiring officers that might not be qualified.
