2022 was a tough year for a lot of people who suffered from skyrocketing inflations. But this 2023 some states are persisting inflation relief checks in the US.

There may not be a federal stimulus check in 2023 the federal government did not step up to offer relief in the form of stimulus checks in 2022. Moreover, it caused several people left wondering why there was no assistance at a time when living costs were truly getting out of control.

Fortunately, several states stepped up to answer the call of weary residents who were tired of dealing with continuous increases in high prices. Many states, will continue to send inflation relief checks, sometimes referred to as stimulus checks, or tax refunds in January 2023 and beyond.

Furthermore, to help their residents many states having excess funds in their budgets decided to send out stimulus payments in the absence of federal aid.

Here Are Six States That Will Still Offer Stimulus Checks In 2023

  • California

California approved stimulus checks worth $1,500 last year, and several payments have already been given to Californias. However, there are still payments left to deliver and are set to windfall this month.

  • Colorado

Worth $750 for individual tax filers and up to $1,500 for joint tax filers last year in Colorado. Those who filed their 2021 taxes on time likely received their funds months ago.  But those taxpayers who requested an extension to file their 2021 tax return, may not get their money from the state until late January.

  • Idaho

Governor Brad Little approved stimulus payments worth $600. Payments started in September but will resume through January of this year. Here are more details of eligibility and how to claim.

  • Hawaii

Hawaii residents who earned less than $100,000 in 2021, or $200,000 if filing jointly, should receive a one-time tax refund of $300. Individuals who earned more than $100,000 and couples who earned more than $200,000 qualify for a payment of $100.

Direct deposits began issued at the end of August, however, taxpayers who filed their 2021 state tax returns between July 31 and December 31, 2022, will receive direct deposit up to 10 weeks after the tax department receives your return, or 12 weeks if you asked for a physical check.

  • Massachusetts

Massachusetts stimulus tax refunds are available to taxpayers of approximately 14% of their state tax liability began in November in. People who filed their 2021 return before October 17 of last year received their refund in December Taxpayers who filed after and until September 15, 2023, will receive their payment one month after filing. Here are more details.

  • New Mexico

State residents are still entitled to get worth $500 refund for single filers and $1,000 for joint filers. The deadline for filing the 2021 income tax return and qualifying for a refund will only have until May 2023.
