$1,000 payments are available for Nebraskan parents. After the expiration of the nationally boosted Child Tax Credit, parents will be paid $1,000 per child under a new bill.
Nebraskan Parents to Receive $1,000 Child Tax Credit Under A New Bill
According to a published post by the US Sun, Senator Danielle Conrad introduced Legislative Bill 294 in Nebraska. This will adopt a refundable CTC making parents eligible to claim $1,000 for each qualified kid.
Conrad expressed that she is focused on solutions to the challenges the state is facing. This aims to aid hard-working Nebraska families to manage inflation and the soaring costs of child care.
What Are The Qualifications And Who Are Eligible?
Once the bill passes as a law, there will be a couple of requirements needed to qualify. The groups listed below would qualify for the full $1,000 benefit for each child.
- Single filers making up to $75,000
- Heads of the household making up to $92,500
- Joint filers making up to $110,000
Parents may still qualify for a smaller amount if their income exceeds the given range. They will receive a 5% less for every $1,000 over. There is no maximum number of dependents to qualify but each child must be under 18. In Nebraska, there are 896,000 estimated to qualify.
