A homeless woman, Zaaina Mahvish-Jammeh purchased an ax from a hardware store before having a meeting with the shelter coordinator and used the ax to kill the victim in the shelter’s living room.

Shelter Coordinator Reportedly Killed By A Homeless Woman With An Ax
Shelter coordinator, Leah Rosin-Pritchard, 36-year-old was ax killed by Zaaina Mahvish-Jammeh. The suspect purchased from a hardware store an 18-inch ax before having a meeting with the coordinator and then used it to attack the victim multiple times which leads to death.
The victim suffered injuries on her face, and neck and was pronounced dead at the Morningside House a shelter for homeless people operated by Groundworks Collaborative. The suspect had been living in the shelter for months now and the murder scene was captured on a security video.
The Groundworks Collaborative family expresses the depth of loss. They said that Rosin-Pritchard is a strong, positive, and caring person. She always loves and cares for the homeless people in the shelter. She is also good at playing volleyball, she is a culinary artist and social worker in Rhode Island and become a shelter coordinator and move to Vermont to work at the Morningside House. Shelter coordinator Rosin-Pitchard was a graduate of Rhode Island College in 2019 and a former resident who work as an intern in several organizations in the state before moving to Vermont.

Her friend Lisa said in the statement that it’s really hard to look to someone who killed an innocent person who just wanna try to help. She added that her friend did not deserve that. The suspect pleaded not guilty to murder on Tuesday after the attack, Judge ordered a mental evaluation and psychological test on Zaaina Mahvish-Jammeh
