A Florida man was arrested for murder after he allegedly assaulted a couple in the parking lot of a Kentucky hotel and gunshot an employee, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.
Kentucky Murder Occurred In A Hotel
A Florida man named Robert Pannell 55-year-old was arrested for Kentucky murder on Saturday after a couple in the parking lot at a Kentucky hotel refused to give him a lighter and then opened fire indiscriminately on a hotel employee leading to the death of the personnel.
In addition to first-degree murder, Pannell was also charged with assault, wanton endangerment, disorderly conduct, menacing, and resisting arrest. The Law enforcement officers were called to a Best Western hotel in southwestern Kentucky about an active shooter around 9:48 a.m. on Saturday.
Paducah Police Officer Arrested Robert Pannell For The Kentucky Murder
According to Fox News, that Paducah police officer found Pannell in the parking lot and detained him. At the same time, a sheriff’s deputy began searching for the said Kentucky murder victim in the hotel and found the employee on the first floor with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body. Detectives discovered during the investigation that Pannell allegedly assaulted a couple in the parking lot after they couldn’t offer him a cigarette lighter.
According to the sheriff, he entered the hotel with a handgun and opened fire indiscriminately, leaving the employee dead. Pannell is from Palm Coast, Florida, and was staying at the hotel at the time of the Kentucky murder shooting incident. According to jail records, he is being held at the McCracken County Jail on a combined bond of $2.5 million.
