An 18-year-old man was killed and two teenage boys were wounded in a shooting on Michigan Beach close to Northwestern University’s campus.
1 Man Killed, 2 Wounded In A Shooting Incident Close To Northwestern University
Evanston Police Department released a statement that the victim who died is an 18-year-old man and the two who are wounded and rushed to the hospital were teenagers.
The shooting incident was reported and happened about 8:00 pm on Wednesday at Evanston’s Clark Street Beach close to Northwestern University’s campus. Students who were on the campus of the school were ordered to shelter in place when the suspects of the shooting incident goes toward the campus after shooting the victims.
Unfortunately, the suspects were not identified because they easily got away and none were reported in police custody on Thursday morning. Evanston Police said that the three youth victims were already identified and immediately rushed to the hospital but the other one was pronounced dead.

Shooting Incident Close By Northwestern University Leaves 1 Man Killed And 2 Wounded
Cook County medical examiner’s office said that the victim is Jacques Kirby an 18-year-old man, he was rushed to he hospital but pronounced dead, the 2 other teens were a 15-year-old boy and were listed in critical condition and the other 15-year-old boy suffered from a minor gunshot only. Evanston police Cmdr. Ryan Glew said in an interview that they have no idea what’s the reason for the shooting incident, they don’t have leads as of the moment but they will continue their investigations.
