Several Americans can anticipate worth $150 of Checks in the mail soon.
Tax rebates
Mayor Tom Daily originally offered the initiative to provide tax rebates to Schaumburg village residents in Chicago, Illinois. Thanks to surplus money worth $ 18.4 million from the northwest suburb’s general fund that was fueled by a strong recovery from the pandemic.
The village’s trustees authorized the rebates, last week and estimated the excess surplus by $2.8 million. Moreover, according to Daily Herald, the $150 direct payments are about to be delivered.
Are You Eligible?
Schaumburg homeowners can qualify to get a check in the mail. However, Landlords and renters are not included. Every homeowner receives an equal worth $150 rebate regardless of income, property value, or taxes paid. Approximately 18,500 residents are most likely to receive a check in the mail.
The check will probably go out in batches, hence all of them won’t be sent out at once. Also, keep in mind that this initiative is a one-time payment to support village residents to combat inflation. Additionally, The U.S. Sun contacted Mayor Daily whether there was an exact date for the distribution of the checks but dates will soon be determined.
