New Mexico Residents are in for another round of relief checks under a proposed budget for the fiscal year 2024 recommending $9.4 billion in total spending.
New Mexico Residents to Receive $1,500 Relief Checks Under New Plan
This plan will include a tax rebate provision worth $1 billion and investments in healthcare, housing, and education. Gov. Grisham expressed that this budget’s goal is to continue improving the lives of New Mexico residents by funding programs, policies, and working initiatives.
She then followed that this will also empower the state to continue taking on new and innovative strategies for sudden economic disruptions. According to a published post by the US Sun, this will greatly help its residents and the community grow and prosper.

What Are The Qualifications And Who Are Eligible?
The rebates will be available to all New Mexico taxpayers. Gov. Grisham’s budget calls for $750 one-time rebates for singles and $1,500 for joint filers. Details from the proposed budgets state that funding will be provided to non-filers on a first-come, first-served basis
The budget will still need approval from the lawmakers. This means that there is also a possibility for it not to happen if there will be too much opposition. The state already sent out two round of tax rebates worth up to $500.
