See If you’re Owed a Settlement For Robocall – Final Day To Receive Between $300 to $600 from the $17million pot

The last day Americans can receive up to $600 from the $ 17 million DirecTV settlement is today. Class action lawsuit Plaintiffs, Brown, et al. v. DirecTV, are confirming that the company hired debt collectors to send recorded warnings of overdue payments.

According to a published post by The US Sun, the problem is that the robocalls were given to 220,000 folks who weren’t customers, which is a direct violation of the 1991 Telephone Consumer Protection Act. The 1991 law states that express consent is needed to deliver prerecorded messages over the phone.

Express content is permitted by someone on paper or electronically to get marketing messages delivered using an autodialer, According to the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

The lead plaintiffs, Jenny Brown and Carmen Montijo filed the claim revealing that DirecTV hired several companies to issue at least 220,000 calls to wrong numbers. The suit confirmed that the company consciously avoided it knowing what the telemarketing agencies were doing.
