The “Clout” rapper posted a message on Instagram in November that said, “The pain you have left me with is unbearable.” “My heart is broken, and I wish I could say so much, but I am at a loss for words. Offset Admitted That He Was Struggling And Was In A Dark Place At Takeoff’s Passing
Offset, real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus, said he wanted he could perform with Takeoff “one last time” and embrace, laugh, and smoke with him.
“I know someone with a soul like yours is in heaven right now,” he continued. “I hope it’s clear to you how much we adore and miss you. In my heart, you have left a void that can never be filled.
A month after Takeoff’s sudden passing, the father of five admitted he was struggling and tweeted that he was “in a dark place” as he grieved.
Earlier this year, Cardi B disclosed that she and her husband, Offset, were in bed when they learned of Takeoff’s terrible passing.
On the “Jason Lee Podcast” in January, she claimed, “We just fell asleep and out of nowhere, Offset phone kept ringing, my phone kept ringing.”
Offset answered the phone and was all, “No! And he continued to shout. And I ask, “What’s happening? He declares that “Takeoff is dead.”
Authorities detained Patrick Xavier Clark and accused him of killing Takeoff. He posted his $1 million bond on January 4 and was allowed to leave jail.
Clark has maintained his innocence, according to his lawyers.
