Yellowstone fans were left disappointed and frustrated after the show.

Kevin Costner, and creator, Taylor Sheridan, were no-shows at a sold-out PaleyFest fan event in Los Angeles
The event was scheduled for April 1, and fans had bought tickets to see the stars talk about the hit TV drama. However, when the main cast members failed to show up on stage, the audience booed and groaned audibly. Along with Costner, other cast members, including Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, and Wes Bentley, were also missing from the event.
The new lineup for the evening included executive Keith Cox, actors Mo Brings Plenty, Dawn Olivieri, Josh Lucas, and Wendy Moniz, who were not the names that fans were expecting. This unexpected turn of events disappointed fans who had paid $85 per ticket, and many requested refunds.
Cox addressed rumors that Costner might be leaving Yellowstone
Following a report by Deadline.com in February that also suggested the show could end “in spectacular fashion.” Cox assured the audience that he was “very confident” that Costner, who plays patriarch John Dutton, would “continue with the show.” He also promised that the remaining season five episodes would be “phenomenal.”
Despite Cox’s comments, frustrated audience members left the Dolby Theatre during the Q&A discussion, and many expressed their disappointment on social media.
One fan said, “It was supposed to be a celebratory event, but it turned into a joke,” while another tweeted, “They could’ve told people. Waste of money and time. Do better @tylersheridan.”
PaleyFest officials did not comment on why Paramount Networks and Yellowstone failed to bring the promised cast and crew to the fan event, but Variety.com cited “scheduling conflicts” as the reason. Yellowstone aired its season five midseason finale on January 1 and is set to return for the second half this summer.
