According to reports, Bob Lee, the founder of Cash App and the former chief technology officer of Square, was stabbed to death in San Francisco, California.

A 43-year-old man was attacked around 2:35 a.m. Tuesday, according to San Francisco Police. In response to the stabbing, officers responded to the 300 block of Main Street.

The victim has not yet been identified by the San Francisco medical examiner, but Lee was later identified as the person stabbed by his friends, according to KPIX.

Lee was rushed to the hospital for treatment of his life-threatening injuries, but he died as a result of them.

As of Wednesday morning, no arrests had been made in connection with the stabbing. The incident is still being investigated.

Lee was the Chief Product Officer of MobileCoin, a cryptocurrency company based in San Francisco.

According to his profile on MobileCoin’s official website, he previously worked at Google, where he led Android’s core library team and launched “the world’s most used operating system.”

In addition to Present, the tech mogul invested in and advised other companies such as Figma, Clubhouse, Beeper, and Faire.

Lee assisted the World Health Organization with their mobile app during the coronavirus pandemic and led development for an at-home testing company.
