Ex Wife’s Divorce Attorney Was Allegedly Murdered By A Man in Georgia, and Office Set On Fire
They were reported to come back to court next week.
On Wednesday, a prominent Georgia divorce attorney was fatally shot in his office. The suspect is the ex-husband of one of his clients, the people confirmed. The ex-wife of the suspect filed for divorce from her ex-husband, Allen Tayeh, who is 65 years old, early last year, 11 Alive reports.
Investigators speculated that on Dec.17, 5 PM, Tayeh entered Lewis’ office, shot him, and set his office on fire. It is reported by Fox5atlanta that the former couples are set to return to the court next week.
According to a published post by True Crime Daily, Lewis’s body was found inside the burned building around 5:30 PM on Wednesday by firefighters who arrived at the scene. Tayeh was soon arrested by the police when he was walking away from the scene, according to an incident report obtained by PEOPLE.

Tayeh was allegedly carrying a revolver with him and spent shell casings, the incident reports say, along with the burns on his hands, hair, and clothing. “It’s pretty brazen. It’s kind of out of the blue,” stated Lt.Parker on Thursday about the shooting, reported by 11Alive.
One of Lewis’ friends told 11Alive that he was devastated by the loss of his friend, who was also a former law partner. “Doug was a dedicated family man who cherished his wife and children. Rarely did a day pass that he didn’t mention them or how proud he was of them,” said Jesse Kent to the news outlet.
“Doug was a joy to be around; he was the standard that all lawyers — me included— aspired to be. His absence was felt the moment he left us and the legal profession will never be the same without him.”
It’s still unknown if he has entered a plea at this time, or if Tayeh has an attorney to comment on his behalf.
