A Wisconsin man who was on the state’s “Most Wanted” list was found guilty on Wednesday of the murder of a 24-year-old man in 2022.
According to FOX 6 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Kenneth Twyman, 25, was found guilty of first-degree reckless homicide in the death of Tayvon Luckett.
The charge stemmed from an incident on April 21, 2022, when Twyman allegedly shook hands with Luckett outside a gas station before shooting and killing him twice.
Twyman testified in his own defense on Tuesday and admitted to shooting Luckett in self-defense.
Because the surveillance cameras at the gas station were inoperable at the time of the shooting, the prosecution relied on testimony from Luckett’s girlfriend.

During her testimony, Luckett’s girlfriend said she saw a handshake, and then “gunshots rang out.”
Twyman testified that he owed Luckett $150 for three grams of cocaine he bought a year and a half ago. Moreover, he said he tried to shake Luckett’s hand but refused.
Twyman told FOX 6 that he saw a gun in Luckett’s hand, pointed toward the ground and that Luckett told him, “This is how people die.”
Twyman ran to a car and fled the scene after shooting Luckett. After three months on the “Most Wanted” list, he was apprehended by marshals in Oak Creek. On the same day, he was charged with five felonies: fleeing police after a crash with injuries, second-degree reckless endangerment, possession of more than 200 grams of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of 1-5g of cocaine with intent to distribute, and possession of less than 3g of heroin with intent to distribute.
He was found guilty of first-degree reckless homicide by Jurors, which carries a sentence of up to 60 years in Wisconsin. On May 26, he is scheduled to be sentenced.
Police also seized seven cellphones, one containing video of Twyman driving through a Milwaukee neighborhood while firing an automatic weapon out the driver’s side window.
U.S. Marshals apprehended him on a warrant in December 2018, but he posted $3,000 bail before fleeing. He was apprehended once more by US authorities. Marshals arrived in January 2022 and posted bail again for $9,500.
On July 10, 2022, US forces apprehended him for the third time. Marshals arrested him for murder, and the judge set bond at $100,000.
Twyman’s family sought assistance from Richard Stulo, a convicted drug dealer who used his home as a base for marijuana dealing.
Stulo charged the family an additional $10,000 for the $100,000 loan.
Twyman was transferred to Waukesha, Wisconsin, to face drug charges before Stulo posted bail to get Twyman out of Milwaukee jail.
Stulo told Fox 6 he asked the court for his money back because he regretted bailing Twyman out.
