July 19, 1988, was an unfortunate event for Lauren Morris, she was found cold-blooded in a tire and left in a Rhode Island pond. Today police will re-investigate the case.
Unsolved Homicide of Lauren Morris
Lauren Morris was only 18 years old when she just graduated from high school. She had her whole life in front of her before someone take that away from her in just one night. A month after graduating high school, Morries met her mother and then headed to the bank to get money to buy a vehicle. After her errands when she left the bank and told her mom she would pick her up at 4 p.m. by then her mom waited long and never show up the mom decided to take a bus home. By midnight there was still no sign of Morris, mom filed a missing person report with the police, according to the report from Front Page Detectives.
According to the police statements reported by WPRI Her vehicle was found abandoned and Morris’ purse was still in the backseat on Route 10 hours later, and Morris was found dead in the nearby pond. A motive has never been made public and there was no justice in her murder.
The Bristol Police Department Will Re-open the Investigations on this Cold Case
Over 30 years have passed since Lauren’s death and her mother was too heartbroken to respond to any of the press reporters, it’s too painful for her but still, she has high hopes that there will be justice for her daughter.
The DNA evidence gathered from the scene has no result shown since then, however, recent technology has improved and is more advanced. Furthermore, The Bristol Police Department recently has appointed a detective to investigate the case. Additionally, Bristol Police Department is seeking the public for any leads that may help solve the case.
