The $3.3 Million Funds Left In Spokane County
The remaining funds worth $3.3 million in American Rescue Plan will be used when there will be determined as needed gaps in services or unforeseen requirements according to Jeff McMorris, community engagement and policy advisor in Spokane County.
Moreover, McMorris said inflation and supply chain problems might incur additional costs to some ARP-related projects, which the county also needs to be prepared for. Furthermore, ARP funds must

McMorris And Schmidt Are Looking For Important Project To Fill In The Funds
The Center Square News said that McMorris and Ariane Schmidt, the county’s ARP portfolio and program manager, said that setting up the technological infrastructure to monitor expenses and the progress of projects had paid dividends in terms of efficiency and transparency. The county will also survey community members to learn what their priorities are in using ARP funds.
Schmidt also said the county is currently working through the best options to utilize ARP funds for the expansion of broadband services into remote areas. A resident’s ability to access the internet will increase their options for remote employment, provide them the option of visiting a doctor virtually rather than in person, and much more.
Three million has been awarded to two broadband initiatives and there is still $400,000 available in that category. One of the projects plan to do is it involves Comcast installing hybrid fiber and coax technology in the Chattaroy neighborhood as past. On the other Medical Lake receives wireless technology from Ptera.
