Fox News and Dominion Voting Systems’ Defamation Lawsuit

Dominion Voting Systems filed a lawsuit against Fox News and Fox Corporation after the network repeatedly broadcast false allegations that the voting machine company rigged the 2020 presidential election by switching votes from former President Donald Trump to President Joe Biden.

Despite the fact that the allegations were made by Trump’s allies, the network continued to harm Dominion Voting Systems’ reputation, prompting the lawsuit.

According to AP News, Dominion Voting Systems initially asked for a $1.6 billion settlement from Fox News and insisted that none of the allegations made on Fox were true before reaching a $787 million settlement.

Fox News Airs False Allegations About Dominion Voting Systems

During the lawsuit, Fox hosts and other executives claimed that they didn’t believe the false allegations made by Trump’s allies, but they still aired the news to get viewers despite knowing that they would tarnish Dominion Voting Systems’ reputation.

In conclusion, Fox should have decided to deliver the truth rather than some news about a president who claimed that the position was stolen from him, especially if they knew what they were going to air were false claims – because that is what makes a media organization reliable.
