Gov. Brian Kemp ‘called out’ former President Donald Trump for his repeated election fraud claims in the 2020 presidential election.
Kemp ‘Calls Out’ Trump for 2020 Election Fraud Claims
Gov. Brian Kemp stated at a Republican National Committee retreat that no voter in a state would vote for candidates who will constantly talk about the 2020 election being stolen, pertaining to the former president despite not mentioning his name.
Trump officially declared his reelection and repeatedly argued that voters who would turn a blind eye to his election fraud claims would not be successful in the future.
As if ‘answering’ Trump’s claims, Gov. Brian Kemp said that 2020 is already an ancient history for voters struggling to make ends meet and preoccupied with paying their rent and car payments or enrolling their children in college, according to a CNN report.
Trump’s Hostile Attitude Towards Gov. Brian Kemp
The tension between Gov. Brian Kemp and the former president had already been evident since Kemp refused to overturn the outcome of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia, which Joe Biden won.
Following the incident, Trump publicly showed hostility to Kemp but failed to challenge him in a GOP primary. Gov. Brian Kemp took his 2022 primary victory, while Trump became the first American president to face criminal charges after allegedly paying hush money to an adult film star.
