The Two $500 From Guaranteed Income Programs In Califonia
The two guaranteed income programs worth $500 application is available starting last March 27, 2023, and ending yesterday April 15, 2023. Eligible applicants will be randomly selected to receive the monthly $500 for a year.
The US Sun reported that the eligible resident for the two guaranteed income programs, worth $500 each, has to meet all the list of requirements including earnings. Hence, here are things you need to know about guaranteed income programs.
- El Monte
El Monte residents are also one of the groups that are eligible for the $500 monthly from guaranteed income programs. To qualify for the monthly payment, you must be a resident of the city and be a single female with no partner in your household.
Also, you need to have children living with you who are younger than 18 years old and as for your income, it should be at or below the federal poverty level for this year.
This amount is $30,000 for a four-person family. Additionally, you need to have supporting documents that prove your income, identification, school enrollment, and residency, and that you needed financial assistance during Covid-19.
There are many ways you can avail of the monthly cash including in person, online, or by mailing in their application by printing out an online form. Those who apply in person can do so from 7 am to 5:30 pm every day at the city manager’s office at El Monte’s City Hall East until April 15, 2023.
A total of 125 applicants will be selected randomly for the $500 monthly payments, which will go out for a year.
- Sacramento
Sacramento California is also offering worth $500 per month from the guaranteed income program.
The city launched the guaranteed income program in partnership with the nonprofit United Way, which will give 80 residents in Sacramento to help them by giving monthly payments for a year.
Along with living in Sacramento, you also have to meet income requirements to qualify for the money. For instance, single adults must earn less than $28,205.
Everyone else needs to earn less than the following:
- One adult, one child: $49,945
- One adult, two children: $65,880
- One adult, three children: $79,500
- Two adults: $43,201
- Two adults, two children: $64,273
- Two adults, two children: $79,500
- Household of five $93,120
- Household of six: $106,740
- Household of seven: $120,360
- Household of eight: $133,980
Just remember that households of eight or more can add $14,160 for each extra person. Eligible residents can apply online until April 15 at 2:59 am.
According to United Way, the first batch of payments to the new group is scheduled to go out on July 1.
Other Cities Outside California That Also Offers Guaranteed Income Programs
Prince George’s County in Maryland also has a new pilot that was approved that supplies 125 residents with $500 per month for two years. However, while the exact income details are still unclear, the guaranteed income program will be “modeled” after the Stockton, California pilot, which has been marked as a success story around the country.
Moreover, the guaranteed income program also required an income lesser than $46,034 to be eligible for it.
Rochester, New York, has open for a guaranteed income program that is being run by the music and arts organization Local Sound Collaborative. To be eligible for the $200 in monthly support, you must be a part of the local music community in the Greater Rochester area and be aged at least 18 years old to participate in the program.
That eligible resident can apply online until June 3 at 11:59 pm.
