Wednesday, A shooting incident at a Chicago-area beach which leaves 1 person dead and 2 injured caused Shelter-In-Place Order At Northwestern University. Evanston Police released a statement that three male teenagers have shot at Clark Street Beach new the School Campus around 8:30 pm.
Police officers clarified that the victims were not students and not connected to the Northwestern University and the shooting incident did not happen on the campus.
The Evanston Police said that Cook County Medical identified the 18-year-old dead as Jacquis Irby, the 15-year-old boy was taken to the hospital and is now in critical condition another 15-year-old boy had minor injuries. People said while they were enjoying the perfect weather on Wednesday night heard gunfire, they said that they heard 10 gunshots and they thought it was just fireworks but then they saw people running and screaming so they think it was something dangerous and they start running too.

Police said that the suspects immediately left the area and jumped in a sedan heading north on Sheridan Road, that’s why there an order to shelter-in-place was issued. Police said that the shooting incident still has no lead and they don’t have someone in custody right now but they are still investigating the incident.
