New York Pregnant Woman Alleging Police Arrest Was The Reason For Her Miscarriage

New York State Police have released bodycam footage that they believe refutes a woman’s allegation that her arrest in March caused her to miscarry.

Quashaia Oranchak states she was driving from her grandmother’s house during the afternoon of March 20, when unmarked State police attempted to pull her over.  Moreover, when she did not comply, another state police pulled up in front of her while his car was struck by Oranchak’s vehicle.

Bodycam footage also shows officers shouting at Oranchak to get out of the vehicle prior arresting her for fleeing a police officer. Police also argue they found drugs in her car, and that traces of fentanyl and methamphetamine were discovered in her body.

Police said that Oranchak started to become unresponsive at Broome County Correctional Facility and was brought to a hospital, where she eventually miscarried her child as she was over six months pregnant at the time of the event.

Police Share A Different Story

A quantity of fentanyl and methamphetamine was discovered secreted in New York Pregnant Woman, According to a spokesperson.  While the New York Pregnant Woman was arrested with criminal possession of controlled substances, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, and fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle.

Bodycam footage shows, the police officer arresting Oranchak was heard acknowledging that she was pregnant and questioning her if she is okay.

“Finally, at the end of the day, as I informed you before, I’m a reasonable guy,” the police officer stated. “I see that you’re pregnant. If you’re not okay, you need to let me know because you’re currently in my custody now. Your well-being is part of my responsibility.”

“I’m okay for right now,” Oranchak responded to the police officer

Oranchak’s lawyer Ronald Benjamin extremely consider that his client’s rights were infringed upon.
