The Wyoming Department Of Revenue Is Now Open For The Expanded Property Tax Refund Program

The Wyoming Department of Revenue has extended the program to assist eligible Wyoming homeowners struggling to pay their property taxes, which can often be a significant financial burden, especially for those with limited or fixed salaries.

Moreover, Governor Mark Gordon states that Wyoming is taking a step toward helping those who need it most. Gordon also said that the targeted relief ensures the program helps homeowners and keeps property taxes low so families could remain in their homes and communities.

Under the Wyoming Department Of Revenue expanded program passed by the legislature earlier this year, homeowners may apply for a refund of up to 50%  of the median residential property tax amount or 75% of their property tax bill, whichever is less.

Here’s How To Be Eligible

To be eligible for the Wyoming Department Of Revenue’s property tax relief program, some specific certain income and residency requirements must meet. Applications will be open at the  Department of Revenue’s website or at local county treasurer offices.

The Wyoming Department Of Revenue’s property tax refund program is part of Wyoming’s ongoing efforts to support families and communities throughout the state, particularly those who have been hit hardest by the economic impacts of inflation.
