Years passed by after the actor Michael K. Williams died from an overdose, and a man who accuses of selling the actor heroin laced with fentanyl pleaded guilty to a charge in connection with the actor’s death.
Drug Dealer Guilty Of Michael Williams Fatal Dose Leads To Death
On Wednesday, a Brooklyn drug seller pleaded guilty to providing the star actor Michael K. Williams with a fentanyl-laced drug causing him a fatal dose and leading to death.
On August 18, U.S. District Judge Ronnie Abrams sentenced Irvin Cartagena guilty of selling drugs to the actor and will face a minimum of five years in prison or possibly to 40 years. Drug dealer, Irvin Cartagena’s case is one count of conspiracy to sell and possess heroin, fentanyl, and fentanyl analog, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.
The star actor Williams was found dead in his penthouse apartment on the afternoon of September 6, 2021. The investigation said that the actor died hours after taking heroin from drug dealer Irvin Cartagena on a sidewalk and the deal with the two of them was recorded by a security camera.

Michael William’s Fatal Dose Death Drug Dealer Pleads Guilty
Actor William’s death happened two weeks before he will be supposed to attend the 2021 Emmys where he was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Actor, Tobias Menzies who win the award of Outstanding Supporting Actor dedicated his Emmy achievement to the late actor Williams at the award while Kerry Washington paid tribute to Williams in a heartfelt speech. Washington said in his speech that Michael was a brilliantly talented actor and a generous human who left us very early. He offers his award as a tribute to the Actor’s death. He added that he loves the actor and he will always be remembered.
