Wednesday a mother and her teen daughter were both discovered dead inside a home and believed to be a murder-suicide in west Harris County, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

Wednesday According to the far west Harris County deputies Family members had called that they hadn’t heard from a woman and her teenage daughter since the weekend and discovered their bodies lifeless on the second floor. Moreover, Harris County claimed that after what investigators believe was a murder-suicide.
Deputies responded to a house in the 5600 block of Sage Manor Drive just after noon following a relative’s discovery of their bodies. The officers found the 46-year-old mother and her 15-year-old daughter dead.
The Reason Of The Murder-Suicide Is Still Unknown
Senior Deputy Thomas Gilliland told KTRK that the mother appeared to have shot her teen daughter before turning the gun on herself. The situation that led to the murder-suicide is still unknown including reports about where their bodies were found. The mother and daughter were the only ones living inside the home, investigators said and CSO homicide detectives and the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences are working to confirm the preliminary finding.
Details about what led to the deadly shooting and when exactly it happened weren’t immediately clear. An autopsy report is pending from the medical examiner’s office.
Gilland said the family had had no prior history of domestic complaints. Investigators were surveying the area for clues earlier Wednesday. In the meantime, Gilliland acknowledged the mental health factors of the incident and pointed to the county’s suicide prevention resources.
