Former President Donald Trump called for federal law enforcement agencies
Trump baselessly accused Democrats of “weaponizing” these agencies and urged Republicans in Congress to defund them “until they come to their senses.”
The statement came one day after Trump was arraigned in Manhattan court for a probe into his possible involvement in a hush money payment made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels during his 2016 campaign.
During the arraignment, Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts related to falsifying New York business records to conceal information from American voters before and after the election.
