On Saturday, police finally identified the second suspect arrested in connection to the deadly shooting at the West Hills shopping center’s parking lot.
A Deadly Shooting In A Parking Lot
Mark Connole, 34 years old of Woodland Hills, was booked on a suspicion of murder, with bail set worth $2 million. Connole was identified by police as suspected of killing one person and injuring three other people in a shooting at a shopping center.
LAPD says the shooting happened around 3:45 p.m. at the Fallbrook Shopping Center parking lot in the 229000 block of Vanowen Street. Moreover. LAPD claimed that the suspect fled the scene in a red Honda vehicle. Officers were led to the car by an LAPD helicopter and a short chase happened before the suspect pulled over.
Connole was arrested without incident. A firearm was recovered, police said. According to Investigators on Saturday that the shooting was gang-related and concerned with a conflict over drugs. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to the family.
Police Identified The Second Suspect
Los Angeles police have now identified the second female in connection to the deadly shooting at a busy West Hills shopping center that left one person dead, and three others injured, authorities announced Monday.
Detectives claimed that the 33-year-old Amy Waters of Simi Valley tried to help suspected shooter Mark Connole fled from the scene. After a chase, officers finally arrested the two without incident.
Waters has been charged with felony evading. Police state that the shootout started after the victims met Connole at Fallbrook Mall for unknown reasons, where an argument took place, leading to the deadly shooting.
Furthermore, the investigation is still ongoing.
