Tortured for over five hours before managing to escape and call the police.

The ambushed victim, who has not been identified, believed he was being invited to a home for food and heroin when he was attacked on March 22. Four people ambushed him in the kitchen, and two of them were armed with guns.

The ambushed victim was forced into the basement, where he was bound with ropes, chains, and cords and beaten with pieces of wood and an electrical cord. He was also burned with a cigar and waterboarded, and one of the attackers wrapped a cord around his neck and strangled him. The ambushed victim alleged that he was tortured for over five hours until he managed to break free and run to a nearby home to call the police.

When authorities found him, he still had an electrical cord wrapped around his neck, and he was hospitalized for numerous injuries.

Detectives identified three suspects who were familiar to the victim.

Robert Hollins IV, Eddie Guyton, and Alexus Guerrero have been charged with gun and robbery-related offenses, as well as criminal confinement, intimidation, and battery. Guerrero also faces an additional charge of strangulation, and Hollins faces a charge of unlawful carrying of a handgun – prior felony conviction within the last 15 years.

The victim’s condition on Saturday was not clear, and details about a fourth suspect were unclear as well, but officials said the investigation is ongoing. The incident shocked the local community, and many have expressed their outrage and sadness over the brutal attack.

Police have urged anyone with information about the case to come forward and assist with the investigation.
