he Memphis Police Department confirmed 2 unidentified police officers were shot during dissension with a suspect in Whitehaven on Thursday night.
2 Police Officers and A Suspect Were Involve In A Memphis Shooting Incident
The shooting happened after the 2 police officers responded to an armed party call at a convenience store on East Raines Road, Thursday night at 7:30 pm. When they arrived at the place they encountered an armed man outside the store. Tennessee Bureau OF Investigation said that the 2 police officers were shot two times and the suspect was shot three times in a Memphis shooting incident.
The Suspect was identified by the police as Charles Williams II, 47 years old. He’s charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of aggravated assault. The Suspect and the 2 police officers involved in the Memphis shooting incident were rushed to the hospital and are now in critical condition.
Bureau said that Williams will be sent to jail after he is released from the hospital and they don’t know if he has a lawyer to fight for him.

Shelby County Sheriff’s Officer said that she was deeply bothered upon hearing the news that Two Memphis Police Officers suffered from serious injuries and were in critical condition. She said that she is praying for the officer’s fast recovery and urged everyone to offer prayer and support.
