Kelsea Ballerini Announced At CMT Music Awards Her New Relationship With Actor Chase Stokes
On April 2, Kelsea Ballerini will host the CMT Music Awards for the third time in a row. In February 2023, around the same time that she announced her new relationship with actor Chase Stokes, Kelsea released an EP detailing her separation from Morgan Evans. Since making their relationship known, Kelsea and Chase have become regulars on each other’s social media pages and haven’t been shy about showing off their developing romance.
When it comes to her private life, Kelsea typically lets her music speak for her, but during this chapter, she’s been very candid about how difficult getting divorced from Morgan was. When Kelsea filed for divorce in the summer of 2022, the two had been wed for almost five years.
When Kelsea and Chase were pictured in a group photo together at the National Championship football game in January 2023, rumors about a relationship between them started to circulate. Days later, to fuel the romance rumors, Chase posted a picture of Kelsea cuddling up to him in their seats at the game on Instagram. The two kept feeding the rumors over the following few weeks. They were first spotted at a bar in Nashville, where they appeared to be quite cozy, and later at the airport, where they were seen putting on their PDAs.

Kelsea Admitted That She Was Dating Chase On A Podcast
On the Call Her Daddy podcast episode from February 22, Kelsea at last admitted that she was dating Chase. “Nope!” was her response when asked if she was single. Before going into more detail about her relationship with Chase, she said, “I’m just vibein’. In regards to the romance, she remarked, “It’s all really new to me.” “I’m cautious, but I’m joyful. It has been a truly lovely reawakening.
Kelsea went into more detail about the relationship’s timeline during the interview. She claimed the events began in December 2022. The proud country singer proudly added, “I slid into his DMs.” I simply said, “I’m not going to use the apps. Additionally, he films “Outer Banks” in Charleston, where my manager resides. He placed the insect in my ear. When you’re ready, you know who’s really cute, right? He says, and I think, “You’re so right! Despite not having watched the show, I was aware of him. I followed him, and he followed me, and I dove in immediately.
Her opening line has quickly become a fan favorite. “Hi, Chase Stokes,” she laughed. “Hi, Chase Stokes,” she said. She claimed they were “just having fun” at the time, but it wasn’t long before things became more serious. Kelsea was in New York City in early March for her appearance on Saturday Night Live, while Chase was there to promote Outer Banks. On March 2, the two had their first public date night at a New York Rangers game. They were also seen walking around New York City holding hands, and Chase was backstage to support Kelsea during her Saturday Night Live debut.
