NYC Subway Bombing: Man who plotted will Soon Walk Free After Decades of Cooperation.

The immigrant Najibullah Zazi, 33 years old, sentenced by the federal judge in Brooklyn and spend 10 years in prison after he plotted to blow up New Yok City’s Subway system.

Zazi pleaded guilty in 2010 after plot a bomb at the NYC subway around the the Anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attack, including conspiring weapons for mass destruction, conspiracy to commit murder in a foreign country and support to a terrorist organization.

Zazi who was arrested in Denver in September 2009 has been cooperating with the federal government, prosecutors said in court filings that he is been very helpful cooperator, having met the government 100 times, testified in numerous trials and provided insights regarding Al Qaeda and it’s members.

Man behind the NYC Subway Bombing

Najibullah Zazi, convicted 2009 NYC Subway Bombing, was born in Afghanistan and grew up in Peshawar in Pakistan, he is a high-school dropout from Queens who worked in a coffee cart in downtown Manhattan in 2006. While he was in Pakistan, Zazi joined al-Queda, received training in weapons and explosive devices, and agreed to conduct a terrorist attack in New York City.

Decades passed, Zazi related his experience at an al-Queda training camp. He used some beauty products that were made of explosives. Although the planning of attacks had not been worked out, federal prosecutors said Zazi and his accomplices had agreed on the ultimate goal of detonating the bombs during suicide attacks in the New York Subway system.
