Nebraska Senator Pete Ricketts addressed a small crowd Friday in his new Omaha office’s lobby discussing his fiscal year plans. In his speech, he talked about Tax Relief in 2024 that made the public hopeful for a better year than the last.

Former Senator Ben Sasse’s office is in the same building. Ricketts also intends to open offices in Kearney, Lincoln, and Scottsbluff. This is on top of the other plans he would bring to reality for this fiscal year.

The Senator discussed tax relief in 2014 and how the 2019 floods helped him prepare for his role as Senator, assisting small businesses and keeping Nebraskans informed.

“We demonstrated that government can work well; all too often, the federal government fails,” said Senator Ricketts. “What we did in Nebraska can be applied to the federal government,” was mentioned by the Senator during his talk.

With his short talk focusing on how to bring Tax Relief in 2024, the people were hoping his plans would be beneficial. Although the Senator had a good run in 2023, many remained hesitant and still needed clarification on how the Senator would realize his plans for this year 2014.
