A 31-year-old woman who admitted to having sex with a 13-year-old boy and becoming pregnant with his child will face no jail time.
Andrea Serrano was arrested in June 2022 by the Fountain Police Department in Colorado on felony charges of sexual assault and statutory rape on a child by one in a position of trust and sexual assault on a child.
Serrano allegedly admitted to police that she had sex with the teenager, who cannot be identified due to his age, and she was detained at the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center while her case of statutory rape was being handled.

On the other hand, Serrano may be able to walk free and face no jail time after agreeing to a plea deal with prosecutors, who reduced the original charges to a lesser offense that does not require jail time.
The agreement would require Serrano to register as a sex offender and face a sentence of 10 years to life on sex offender intensive supervised probation.
The victim’s family is considering the next steps in the case because they believe Serrano’s actions have permanently altered his life.
She has demanded an explanation for why Serrano will not face jail time for her crime of statutory rape, and she has stated that the family will seek sole custody of Serrano’s child, whom the victim fathered.
The Fountain Police Department did not respond to a Fox News Digital request for comment when this article was published.
