This tax season 2023 the US Department of Energy will be giving worth $500 to $1000 energy tax credits who implement specific clean energy equipment in their home.

The US Department of Energy aims to return to those individuals who made the changes as an incentive. This tax season 2023 the tax credits are available for energy services including battery storage, solar panels, home electric vehicle chargers, participating in home energy audits, and more. Furthermore, tax credits for geothermal heat pumps and solar water heating will not be included this tax season. Most of the credits offered for certain equipment have also increased by 20 percent or more compared to last year.
Here Are The Tax Credits Available This Tax Season
The US Department of Energy said that this tax season will have nine tax credits available for clean energy including:
- Battery storage/solar panels – for 30 % of the price
- Efficient heating equipment for 30 % of the price up to $600
- Efficient water heating equipment for 30 % of the price up to $600
- Electric panel or circuit upgrades for new electric equipment for 30 % of the price up to $600
- Insulation material for up to 30 % of the price
- Skylight windows for up to 30 % of the price
- Exterior doors for 30 % of the price up to $500 (up to $250 each)
- Home energy audits for 30 % of the cost up to $150
- Home electric vehicle chargers for 30 % of the price up to $1,000
Moreover, those eligible for the tax credits contain homeowners or renters for certain expenditures. Additionally, anyone who bought energy and other efficient devices and products. Taxpayers who created energy home modifications and home energy audits also qualify.
