The 2023 tax rebates filing has been extended to its deadline for South Carolinians to file their 2021 tax return and be eligible for a rebate of up to $800 is now February 15. The first extended deadline was October 17.
South Carolina 2023 tax rebates chose to extend the deadline once again to accommodate those filers who are impacted by Hurricane Ian. Those who filed their tax rebates by the October deadline have been receiving their rebates since the Fall. Filers who submit their returns before Wednesday’s deadline should welcome their payments by mid-March.

Filers for the 2023 tax rebates should at least have lived in South Carolina for a portion of 2021 and have a tax liability. If your liability is under $800, you will receive that amount. Moreover, if your liability is $800 or over, you will gain $800.Additionally, it’s advisable to gather all relevant income documents when filing.
According to The Us Sun, documents that are needed include W-2 forms from an employer and 1090 forms for self-employed income. Filers for the 2023 tax rebates can also file electronically by utilizing TurboTax software or other software available. Once filed, recipients will obtain either a direct deposit or a check via mail, depending on the filer’s choice.
