Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele notified this week that a former friend and business partner of slain Pennsylvania mother, Jennifer Brown, was arrested for her murder.

Blair Watts, 33, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, theft by illegal taking, and fraudulently accessing a device last Thursday morning.

Steele said that for 37 days since this devoted mother was reported missing, detectives have been accumulating evidence, piece by piece, bringing into focus what happened to Jennifer and who murdered her. Furthermore, he mentioned that that picture shows Blair Watts murdered Jennifer Brown on January 3rd, then moved her body and eventually buried her in a shallow grave.

Watts reported Brown missing on January 4, saying she had failed to pick up her 8-year-old son from the school bus that afternoon.

The investigators were told that her son had spent the night at Watts’ residence before January 3 to give Brown a break.

After a two-week search, Brown’s body was discovered on January 18 in a shallow grave behind a warehouse in Royersford. According to the medical examiner, she was murdered and had three broken ribs.

Investigators discovered that on January 3, the last day Brown was seen, two cash transfers totaling $17,000 were sent from Brown to Watts’ accounts. According to the district attorney, the transfer was “never part of a written agreement between Brown and Watts.”

Property owners who had been in talks to rent out their space for the duo’s restaurant also told investigators that Watts showed up unannounced on January 4, the day Brown was reported missing, “now saying he had money to put down on a lease.”

The investigation of the brutal murder of Jennifer Bown continues as Watts waits for the court’s final verdict.
