The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) is providing food stamp benefits to eligible families throughout the state in February.
Find Out When You’ll Get Your Benefits
The department has announced the schedule for when benefits will be sent out to families who are enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). EBT benefits are sent out on the same day each month, based on the last digit of the recipient’s SSN. For example, if your SSN ends in a 1, benefits will be sent out on the first day of the month. If the SSN ends in 2, benefits will be sent out on the second day of the month, and so on.
EBT cards can be used to purchase food at authorized retailers and farmers’ markets. This provides critical assistance to families who are struggling to put food on the table. In North Carolina, more than 1 million families receive food stamp benefits each month. The department has been working to ensure that these benefits are provided in a timely and efficient manner.

NCDHHS encourages families to check their EBT balance online or by phone, to ensure that benefits have been received and are available for use. If a family has not received their benefits by the 5th of the month, they are encouraged to contact the department for assistance.
According to a post by Go Banking Rates, the North Carolina Food Stamps Schedule has been released and families can now plan accordingly. The NCDHHS is working to ensure that benefits are sent out on time and that families have access to the food they need. The department is committed to helping families in need and will continue to provide support and assistance in any way possible.
