Customers Discover that Walmart still Doesn’t Offer Apple Pay

After discovering that they still do not offer one of the most popular paying methods, customers slammed Walmart after multiple checkout failures. The shoppers were shocked that Walmart doesn’t accept Apple Pay. This allows users to pay by placing their phone near the card reader. It quickly became one of the primary forms of payment because it saves time and allows people to pay without having to interact with keypads.

Popular stores including CVS, Target, Best Buy, and Staples all offer this form of payment. Some customers still can’t believe Walmart doesn’t offer Apple Pay. According to a post by The US Sun, a number of people commented online about their disappointment regarding this. Some request that Walmart should get with the times and get Apple Pay. Some were also annoyed with this.

Walmart Stays True to Their Actions and Won’t Use Apple Pay

Despite being criticized countless times, Walmart remained steady in its decision to not have Apple Pay in its services. The retail giant encourages customers to download the Walmart app instead. This app provides multiple features and among them is a touchless payment feature called Walmart Pay.

By downloading the Walmart app, customers can also become a member of Walmart Plus. This service has multiple different benefits which include being able to use their phones as a scanner for Walmart items. This feature allows for contact-free checkout and can be used in-store. Apple Pay also isn’t the only touch-free service that Walmart doesn’t allow. Services like Google Pay and Samsung Pay also won’t be accepted. The only forms of payment they will accept at the store include debit and credit cards, Paypal, and Affirm.
