The second wave of the increased Social Security Supplemental Income payments will be released next week.
Social Security Supplemental Income 2023
More than a month after Social Security Supplemental Income beneficiaries get their last payments on December 30, and this coming February 1, the SSI payments will be given to recipients for their Second wave of release. SSI checks are usually given on the first of the month, but if it falls on a holiday or weekend then it will move to the nearest business day.
For 2023, the payments are boosted to $914, compared to last year’s recipients cashed in $841 for each month. This is because of the cost-of-living-adjustment of 8.7 percent. The COLA increase goal is meant to support Americans in beating inflation each year.
